Giving Back to Our Community
We have been privileged in our commercial success and take our responsibility to give back seriously. That is why we give to a number of community organisations locally, nationally and internationally.
Let us tell you about the great causes we have supported:

SUPPORTING NEW ZEALAND'S ROAD TRANSPORT HISTORY
We are proud to be involved with the new Mercer Transport Museum that has been in development for several years and is progressing well. This museum will house and display local and New Zealand vintage trucks, cars, utes, and associated equipment. The intention of the museum is to preserve and showcase the history of transport in New Zealand which is slowly disappearing.
We have been supporting this initiative by sponsoring branding design and marketing expertise from our friends at Tailwind. Ian Stevenson, founder of Transport Trailers, contributed a large initial donation and is a proud foundation member of the museum.
Keep an eye out for further developments over the next few years as we excitedly work towards the opening of the museum.
Charitable Trusts
Each year, the team at Transport Trailers donate to the work of the worthwhile charitable trusts below.
Some of the contributions we have made
Local Sponsorships
We pride ourselves in our ability to help others and give back to the community.
Here are some of the initiatives we have sponsored.
Hamilton Old Boys Rugby
We are delighted to have been sponsoring the Hamilton Old Boys Junior Rugby Club for both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. We have contributed with other local businesses, to pay for the kid’s training shirts, and approximately 300 t-shirts for local Hamilton kids.
Te Awamutu Junior Girls Only Rugby Pilot Program
It was identified that within the Te Awamutu region, there was a drop in participation rates of our females due to the fact that once they hit 8th grade, they had to tackle the boys and rippa was no longer an option.
The Girls Only Pilot Program has seen over 120 registrations with girls showing up on Monday evenings to participate in fun, game-based sessions. These Monday sessions are rotated around each of the five clubs (Ohaupo, Pirongia, TA Marist, Te Awamutu Sports and Kihikihi).
To reduce barriers even further, each child is given a pink shirt and mouthguard to further reiterate that 'WE ARE ONE' and don't need to belong to individual clubs but instead, to the collective. This has all been kindly donated by thoughtful and kind sponsorship from the community.
NZ Road Transport Hall Of Fame
Transport Trailers is Proud to be one of the Major Sponsors of the NZ Road Transport Hall of Fame held in Invercargill each year at the Bill Richardson Transport World Museum.
This prestigious event attracts key decision makers and Industry leaders to this sort after event each year.
Transport Trailers has been one of the major sponsors now for a number of years and we are committed to this great Industry event.
Creators Early Learning Centre, Forest Lake
Transport Trailers donated to the Creators Early Learning Centre ‘Toddlers class’ 10 trikes and two safety car seats for the centre transportation van. The ‘Kindy class” also received some books. These donations were kindly received.
Wade Stevenson’s Race Car
Transport Trailers are proud sponsors and supporters for Wade Stevenson as he competes in the North Island Endurance car race series.
Wade competes in a fully purpose-built 1996 Subaru Legacy which he is hoping to use to compete in all three rounds to place into the top 10 this year.
Golf Sponsorship
In 2018 Transport Trailers was proud to sponsor three separate golfing events.
Earlier in the year we were one of the sponsors for the TR Group golf day in Christchurch
In November we were pleased to be able to provide some sponsorship for the Fulton Hogan golf day in Auckland and it was an amazing day for the team that attended
In December Transport Trailers were privileged to be the major sponsor for the Ngahinapouri School Golf tournament with all proceeds going to Ngahinapouri School.
Hamilton Raiders Baseball
Transport Trailers have become a Silver sponsor of Hamilton Raiders Baseball club with our yearly contribution to this great local club.
Hamilton Raiders Baseball Club is a non-for-profit baseball club, with an amazing home ground at Mahoe Park — one of NZ's newest international grade baseball diamonds.
Our sponsorship helps enable the three teams to travel and play in the ABA League and participate in future tournaments. It is a great way to promote the game of baseball throughout the Waikato region.
